Lambretta Works, Inc. offers the following warranty on all rebuilt engines:

We warranty the engine for a period of 180 days from the date of delivery or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first, against any mechanical failure or defect, excluding the following:

1) Piston seizure due to improper ratio of mixing oil with gasoline, improper type of oil mixed with gasoline, low quality gasoline, improper spark plug, or overstressing of the motor caused by continuous high speed running.

2) Crank seal failure due to inferior brands of gasoline being used. We recommend any of the following brands of gasoline: Chevron, Mobil, Shell, Texaco, or Exxon. Do NOT use Arco or lesser brands of fuel.

3) Clutch failure due to abnormal abuse such as constant riding with a passenger, regular use in mountainous areas, or failure to change gearbox oil at recommended intervals.

This warranty is valid as long as the instructions in our ‘Break-in Information’ sheet (which is available here) are followed. Failure to follow these instructions will void the warranty. The warranty covers parts and labor (assuming we perform the labor). Any labor done by anyone other than Lambretta Works, Inc. is not covered, although parts are covered as long as the defective parts are returned to us for inspection. In this case, the replacement parts must either be:
1) purchased from us at full retail, in which case a refund will be issued upon our receipt of the defective parts, or
2) supplied free of charge on an exchange basis after we have received the defective parts.
Any freight charges to return the engine or any parts to us for warranty work are the resposibility of the customer.
