HYDRAULIC CLUTCH ASSEMBLY
So you’ve built a pasta rocket that scares small children to death and regularly humiliates your clubmates who all think they’re the business (and also puts that wannabe Mick Doohan that lives down your block to shame!) Problem is, you can’t ride the $%&@ thing more than two miles without your wrist cramping up from that beastly clutch kit you installed, and that’s embarrassing you in front of your girlfriend! So what to do?
Our hydraulic clutch conversion is a huge upgrade over the stock cable system for several reasons. First of all, even with the stiffest clutch springs installed, your hand lever will feel like butter compared to even the best cable setup. Another huge advantage is that this system never needs adjusting! Just set it up, bleed it, and forget about it. No more messing about with broken cables or trying to find that “sweet spot” in the adjustment (too tight can lead to slippage and the early demise of your plates, and too loose delivers the dreaded ‘creep’ and stalling that always seems to occur with a large lorry breathing down your neck at a traffic light!). Your clutch plates will last much longer than with a cable setup - in fact our 31hp Group E racer once went a whole season on the same set of plates, including 12 races and numerous clandestine test runs around the streets of Southern California. The complete kit Includes a converted GP side case, master and slave cylinders, a plastic coated steel braided hydraulic line, and all necessary fittings. NOTE: The master cylinder fits motorcycle style handlebars only. At this time we do not have a way to adapt the master cylinder to the stock headset. Requires DOT 5 silicone fluid, sold separately.
