A tachometer is an incredibly useful device. Not only will it help you set up set up gearing and jetting, the fact that you will always know what RPM you are at decreases the chances of over-revving your engine and blowing it up. And, its just plain cool. This 2 inch diameter unit has a black face with white numerals and an operating range of 0-12,000rpm. It works with any 6 pole magneto, including 12 volt electronic ignition systems. It reads the pulses put out by any lighting or charging wire. No extra power source is required, and an optional lighting kit is available. |
