What's New at LambrettaWorks - October, 2003

Try to stop in regularly–or better yet, join our electronic mailing list and get notified by email whenever we post new info.

Credit Card Problems- Many of you who have used a credit card to make purchases through our web site within the past several months are aware that our shopping cart system was recently infiltrated by hackers, and that many credit card numbers were stolen and used for unauthorized transactions. Please note that this occurred only with card numbers entered in the shopping cart, and that none of your personal information (including credit card numbers) which you may have given us by other means (telephone, fax, etc.) is stored on publicly accessible servers. We are very concerned with keeping your information as secure and confidential as possible. We have suspended all credit card activity on our web site until further notice, after we have moved the site to a new hosting company. In the meantime, please feel free to continue using the shopping cart system, and if you need to use a new card number which we do not already have on file, just call or fax us with the number after placing your order.
Scooters from Italy - Our shipment arrived on October 9th, and the bikes are already flying out the door. If you are in the market for a scoot, check out our current inventory now before they're all gone! Read more about them here.
Back in Stock - Bitubo Rear Shocks - It had been almost three years since Bitubo had produced their highly sought after rear shocks for Lambrettas, but earlier this year they produced a small batch and we managed to snag a few before they all got snatched up. They are nitrogen charged, fully adjustable for compression and rebound, and feature a chrome plated body and a red powdercoated spring. #0160.A, $299

Now in Stock - JL Expansion Chambers - After the manufacturers of our LambrettaWorks pipes went belly up, we started looking around for an alternative. We decided that the JL line of pipes are the next best expansion chamber on the market for their performance, fit, quality, and price. Jim Lomas has been manufacturing expansion chambers for UK scooter tuners Kegra and Taffspeed (as well as a world renowned line of pipes for a wide variety of two stroke motorcycles) for over a decade. He has launched his own line of Lambretta pipes, and we are now carrying all four versions, starting at $389. Remember, expansion chambers are sold for racing use only. #304.JL4 pictured to the left, $399

LambrettaWorks at the San Diego Little Italy Festa - If you you were in the San Diego area last Sunday October 12th and stopped by our booth at the Little Italy Festa, we want to thank you for paying us a visit. The sights, sounds, and aromas of Italy were everywhere, and our display was very well received. And to those of you who missed it, hopefully you can make it next year.
